Best Way to Lose Weight - Tips to a Leaner and Healthier Body

What is the best way to lose weight? The weight loss process can be so simple as long as you properly apply dieting and training methods. Remember that people vary in body type. Weight loss methods that work for you may not work for others. The best way to lose weight is to increase physical activity and modify your diet. There are simple ways to start modifying your diet.
1. Cut down on calories. Food substitution can help reduce calories and rev up your metabolism. For instance, substituting carbonated beverage with water can cut about 150 calories, depending on the amount consumed. Also, instead of soda, go for fruit juices, which can reduce calories by about 50 to 100. In addition, skip fried chicken for baked chicken, regular ice cream for gelato or meat pizza for vegetarian pizza or sub sandwich.
2. Slow down on sodium. Too much sodium consumption can cause water retention, which explains bloating. Especially when combined with fat, it can be deposited in the abdominals, buttocks, hips and thighs. Unwanted body fat is due to a number of factors such as eating late at night, going over normal caloric intake and lack of, or no exercise. These factors slow down the body's metabolism and goes into shutdown mode. When this happens, unused calories accumulate at high levels and turn into unwanted body fat.
3. Choose carbohydrate consumption. A lot of people think that steering clear of carbohydrates is the best way to lose weight. Carbohydrates, per se, do not make you fat - refined carbohydrates do. These are found in white bread, white rice and pasta. Instead, go for complex carbohydrates, which are a healthier alternative. Some examples are whole wheat bread and brown rice. Never starve yourself. It only encourages your body to rebound itself, holding on from what it is being deprived of.
4. Rev up metabolism. Many people consider this as the best way to lose weight. Your body's metabolism should reach a certain level to burn body fat. The rate of metabolism varies from one person to another. Some have naturally high metabolism while others need to work to get increase it. An excellent way to rev up your metabolism is through cardiovascular exercise.
5. Increase meal frequency. Another way to rev up your metabolism is to increase your meal frequency. Try eating four to five meals, consisting of three meals and two healthy snacks in a day instead of eating three huge meals.
Weight loss does not happen overnight. The best way to lose weight is done with control, consistency and commitment.
