Celebrate With An 80s Theme For Your Next Party

MTV was a huge hit in this wonderful era for an 80s theme! Mousse, big hair, and Miami Vice were all hits too! What era are we talking about? The 80s of course, and an 80s theme party is sure to be a hit with both guests who remember the era well, and younger guests who have had fun watching old movies!
Consider creating a picture scrap book by scanning magazine photos depicting 80s stars, 80s theme clothing and accessories, and 80s music and television. Simply create a cover out of card stock and staple these together. You may print all your pertinent party information right on the covers, and you have envelopes that will get minds working in the right direction for 80s costumes and excitement!
Duran Duran, Madonna, Cindy Lauper, and Blondie all lend themselves to perfect 80s theme music and dress! Just watch old music videos or episodes of popular TV series such as Miami Vice, to get all the guests in the mood to celebrate 80s theme style!
For the perfect 80s theme menu, consider serving sushi and wine coolers, but scattering bowls full of classic candies like nerds, pop rocks, fun dips, or ring pops around for fun! Add in some fun, classic 80s beverages like Jolt cola and Capri Sun drink pouches, and your 80s theme party is sure to jog some happy memories!
For fun, have each guest bring an 80s photo of themselves to the party. These can be displayed on a bulletin board, and during the course of the evening, guests can have fun matching the correct photo to the guest at your party. A neat way to do this, if you can swing it, is to make copies of each photo (on plain paper is fine) and give one of each to each guest. They can hand each photo to the guest they believe is in the picture, and the one who guesses the most correctly, wins a prize.
