SWITCH UP YOUR BREAKFASTS. Replace your cereal with a protein food (i.e. scrambled eggs, omelet, bean burrito, chili, bean soup, etc.) It is amazing how many calories add up with cereal or white bread. Eating more protein not only fills you up faster, but keeps you satisfied longer, lessening your appetite and food cravings. It\'s a perfect way to start the day!
COOK WITH COCONUT OIL INSTEAD OF BUTTER. Coconut oil has an amazing ability to actually increase your metabolism (the part of your body that burns fat). People actually take coconut oil as a supplement to increase their metabolism by ingesting it in pill form. However, it works wonderfully in cooking as an oil, lard, margarine, and butter alternative!
USE THE STAND INSTEAD OF SIT PRINCIPLE. When you stand, you burn more calories than just sitting. So when you\'re waiting for something, visiting, or whatever, make it a point to stand. Shuffling your feet while you stand will also help burn calories as well. Apply this same idea to a variety of situations during your day and you\'ll find you get a lot more activity without much added effort.
MAKE SMALL GOALS. You can\'t expect to lose weight without having a goal in mind. Short, but doable goals work best. Plan on losing a certain number of pounds in two weeks. Once you have a goal in mind towards losing weight fast, your brain will know what is happening and can help your body get the results you want.
CHANGE YOUR THINKING PATTERNS. If you think failure, you\'ll get failure. Half the battle of weight loss is actually in the mind. Train your mind to think success. Live and breathe success. Talk about it, dream about it, and look at pictures about it. The sooner you change up your thinking patterns about how you are going to lose weight quickly, the sooner the weight will start coming off.
