Scavenger Hunt Ideas

Need Ideas for a Scavenger Hunt and how to organize one? Well I think I might be able to help you with some tips.
Scavenger Hunts are a lot of fun and you can even use them in your business as a motivational tool or as a team building instrument.
How does it work? Well, first of all you might want to make a list with things the participants of your scavenger hunt have to find. Is each item going to have value points? And are there going to be penalty points and award points?
You need to think about how long it should last and to set a time. Then you will decide how many people in a team or are they going to compete individually. If you have plenty of people divide them into teams and let them choose a team name.
You can make a scavenger hunt as challenging as you want. Give it a theme i.e. people, food, animals, occupations, Halloween, Christmas etc... Here is one example: Make up a map, which takes the participants to a point where they find a clue, which leads them to the next and so on until they reach their destination. Who has arrived first is the winner. Clues can be well known attractions or locations everybody knows or a riddle and so on. Let your imagination run wild.
When you organize a scavenger hunt for children, you might want to limit the area where the hunt takes place. Maybe you want to have it in your garden, don't forget to make sure that it is safe. You could go to a public park as well. If you decide to have your hunt at home, alert you neighbors and let them know what time it will take place and for how long. Maybe they even want to be involved, like handing something out that is on the list.
And last but not least, remember kids love prizes. Think about how many places you want to reward and in this whole process don't forget that all the children put great effort into the hunt. So maybe you want to have a grand prize for first place and some smaller gifts for the other children.
